Hiking Camel’s Hump in Vermont, birdwatching in New Zealand, and painting in Ambialet, France.
Pamela Fogg lives and paints in Vermont. She works in various media, especially gouache, watercolor, acrylic, and collage.
Her interest in landscape and structures has never waned. Nor has her fascination with boundaries, light, negative space, abstraction, color, and pattern. Whether surrounded by verdant Vermont or the parched hills of southwestern France, Pam tries to inhabit and reflect the spirit of place.
Pam is an alumnus of Vermont Studio Center’s Vermont Artist Week, and has done several residencies in the Tarn region of southwestern France.
While in high school, she studied drawing and painting at the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts in Old Lyme, Connecticut, then moved on to a BFA in design and advertising at School of Visual Arts in New York City. She subsequently built her career in design, marketing, and communications with a focus on editorial design and strategy.
“Travel changes you. As you move through this life and this world you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life—and travel—leaves marks on you.”
—Anthony Bourdain
